Prof. Xavier Cabré was invited as a lecturer at the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) 2026 in Philadelphia.
His lecture, titled «Stable Solutions to Reaction-Diffusion Elliptic Problems», focused on recent results proving that stable solutions are smooth up to the optimal dimension 9, thereby solving a long-standing open problem posed by Brezis in the mid-1990s.
