Research by Marino Arroyo featured in Science and Quanta Magazine

The study by Marino Arroyo published in Science,  showed that flat sheets of living cells can be programmed to fold into 3D shapes by controlling tiny organizational defects in the tissue. This reveals a possible physical mechanism for how complex biological shapes form during development.
